Easy salad dressing for the busy bees..

Following Jakarta citizens’ healthy lifestyle behavior, now we realized there’s a big chunk of population who has the urge to eat more vegetables or at least healthier but just can’t really keep up with it. Three factors arose: they don’t have the time to buy the vegetables, they don’t have the time to prepare it, and -for a lot of people- both.

So we think it’s important for us to share just this little tip every salad beginner should know (beautifully cited by thekitchn):

“The most basic way to make a salad taste really good is to toss it lightly with good olive oil, then squeeze a little lemon or drizzle some balsamic vinegar over it. Toss with a generous sprinkle of salt and pepper, which are often all too neglected in salads, and you have yourself a delicious side salad. Herbs will just make it that much better”

OR..for an extra creamy drizzle, try this two-minute Creamy Salad Dressing:

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, or other grainy mustard

1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Pinch salt

Pinch sugar

Fresh pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon champagne vinegar

Whisk together the mustard, mayonnaise, salt, sugar, and pepper until combined. Add the vinegar and whisk until smooth. Toss with salad greens and serve.

And there you go. Easy peasy healthy lunch everyday.
